Things You Should Stop Doing Before Getting An Airbrush Tan
26 Apr
As the scorching summers take over, we tend to leave our skin bare (hello shorts & dresses!).
However, this summer, you don’t have to worry about your skin being pale. This is because an Evolv airbrush tan has got you covered from head to toe! We’re certain you’re going to busy all summer long preparing for BBQ’s & holidays, while being outdoors enjoying the sunshine.
An Evolv airbrush tan will be your best summer accessory!
But, before you get your airbrush tan, there are certain things that you should avoid doing to get the best results. Keep reading for expert tips on how to get the most out of your Evolv custom airbrush session!
First Things First
The first important tip is to exfoliate the night before your airbrush session. We recommend exfoliating with our Evolv Body Scrub to exfoliate any dead skin cells. Our body scrub is also great for regular Evolvers, because it will remove any residual airbrush tan you might have left over from your previous session.
This is going to help increase the life of your Evolv airbrush tan. Exfoliating helps make for a beautiful, even canvas in preparation for your airbrush session.
Apply No Makeup
Makeup is essential when going out, as without makeup your look feels incomplete. But if you’re on your way to getting a tan, it would be beneficial for you to wear no makeup.
If you wear makeup, there is a higher risk that your tan would not spread evenly on those areas that are covered with makeup. And when you remove your makeup, you will see your tan coming off with it. Au natural is your best bet when coming in for your airbrush appointment.
No Moisturizing Lotion
A moisturizing lotion has the same effect as makeup; it would act as a barrier between your skin and the tan and can cause your skin to look splotchy. Be sure to refrain from any lotions prior to your airbrush session.
Don’t Wear Accessories
Save yourself from spending hours on choosing jewelry and cleaning it. Do not wear accessories when you are getting a tan to make the experience as convenient as possible.
Avoid Wearing Tight Clothes
If you want your tan to stay in place, the clothing you choose to wear to your appointment is paramount! If you wear tight clothes after an airbrush, there is a greater risk that your tan would develop unevenly. We recommend wearing dark, loose-fitting clothing to your airbrush appointment. Also, don’t forget to bring sandals to wear afterwards!
Mani’s Pedi’s & Waxing
Who doesn’t love pampering themselves at the nail salon? After all, nails and toes do look better when paired with a great tan! It’s always best to schedule your Mani & Pedi appointment the day prior to your airbrush appointment.
Waxing before a special event? No problem! We recommend scheduling your wax appointment at least 48 hours prior to your airbrush session. If you wax after receiving an airbrush, it’s likely that part of your tan will come off.
Bottom Line
