GETTING THE PERFECT BRIDAL GLOW

Every bride wants a sun-kissed, radiant glow when she walks down the aisle—but getting that perfect glow can be tricky. That’s why we’re here to help! Here are a few tips on how to become a bronzed goddess for your big day…

With some BEAUTIFUL photos from Dedra & Andy Wiggy’s wedding, and engagement—Dedra looked STUNNING with an Evolv Heated Airbrush Tan from The Glow Lounge in both her engagement shoot, and on her wedding day!

A FRESH, CLEAN START

Clean, freshly washed skin is the first step in achieving an even, gorgeous tan. Use body washes and exfoliators that don’t include oils—these ingredients can get in the way of your tan developing evenly. We recommend shaving or waxing at least 1-2 days prior to your airbrush appointment so your pores have time to close up. This helps to ensure an even tan.

GET A GLOW THAT’S RIGHT FOR YOU

After choosing a salon, test out the process 1 month before your big day to make sure the final color meets your needs. This way you’ll be familiar with your salon’s airbrush tanning procedures before you get airbrushed for your wedding, and still have plenty of time for the original tan to fade and exfoliate off your skin before your appointment for your wedding. It’s also great to know exactly how long the tan will last (hello, honeymoon!)

And remember, while color may show immediately after the session, your tan will continue to develop for up to 12 hours. So be patient, and refrain from showering until at least 8 to 12 hours after your appointment.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

2 days before your wedding, return to your salon for your airbrush tan; remembering again to shave and exfoliate 1-2 days beforehand. We recommend getting an airbrush tan 2 days prior to your wedding to allow the tan to settle into your skin and any cosmetic bronzers to wash off—so they don’t rub off on your gorgeous gown! You can also use this extra time to touch up as needed or desired. It’s a good idea to keep a sunless tanning product with you so you can do quick touch-ups and maintain your tan throughout your honeymoon as well.
